After 12 years of dedicated service, it was time for BCDC to bid farewell to Nancy, our trusted mobile mammography unit. The acquisition of our new state-of-the-art truck marks a significant stride in ensuring the longevity of our Mobile Mammography Program. This upgrade not only modernizes our capabilities but also reaffirms our commitment to breaking down geographical barriers, bringing vital screening mammograms to women in remote areas of Alaska. Join us in unveiling the next chapter in our mission to promote breast health and early detection.
Our mobile team is gearing up for another important season on the road. Each year, our mobile program travels thousands of miles, reaching communities from Metlakatla to Dutch Harbor, Nenana to the Kenai Peninsula. We are dedicated to overcoming geographic barriers to provide essential screening services in areas where access may be limited or unavailable.
